FG committed to eradicating out-of-school children syndrome

The minister stated this at the official flag-off of Better Education Service Delivery for All, BESDA, in Rivers State yesterday.

Dr. Nwajiuba said for every serious economy, much investment must be made in its education sector, adding that “the drive of the current government of President Muhammadu Buhari has been to reduce the number of out-of-school children to the barest level.”

Playing host to the minister, Governor NyesomWike commended Nwajiuba and his team from the Federal Ministry of Education for the efforts and passion they have invested into the education sector and for not politicising the lives and future of children, pledging his continuous support to always allocate 30 per cent of the state’s budget to education.

The minister was accompanied by the coordinator of BESDA at the Federal Ministry of Education, Hajia Haruna Abubakar and other members of the delegation from the ministry committed to eradicating out-of-school children syndrome – Minister of State for Education, Dr. ChukwuemekaNwajiuba has reiterated the federal government’s resolve to reduce the number of out-of-school children to the barest minimum.
